When I email people my name shows up wrong.?

When I email people my real name shows up as one thing but my it's got a type-o. I don't know how to change it and I don't want to change email accounts.

Adjusting the From field changes how your name appears in other peoples' incoming mail. You can also adjust the email address they will send a message to when they click Reply.





The New Yahoo! Mail (formally Yahoo! Mail Beta):


1.Click Options in the upper-right corner of your Mail page and select Mail Options.


2.From the list on the left, click Accounts.


3.Click Add or edit an account 鈥?it is toward the middle of the page.


4.In the box on the left, click Yahoo! Mail.


5.Click Edit.


6.In the From name: box, enter your name how you would like it to appear in the From: line of your outgoing messages. This is the name people will see in their Inboxes for messages from you.


7.You can leave the Reply to: field blank, so your Yahoo! Mail address is automatically the return address when others reply to you. Or, you can specify a different return address by entering it after Reply to:.


8.Click Save to put your new settings into effect.

Note: The From name field can not contain special characters like the @ symbol. And, the address in Reply to: can not exceed 40 characters.

At the top right of your mail page click Options, another page will open up, click General Preferences, another page will open up, under Name and Email, you can customize how your name appears on messages you send by changing the From Name: field. Reply To: specifies the return address for messages that you send. Be sure to go to the bottom of the page and click Save.






Reply:You need to go back to the Yahoo "edit my account" screen to edit how you put your name in when you registered your email account. S, go up to the top of the Yahoo page where it says "Hi, whateveryournameis" and click the arrow below it. That will take you to the edit page and you can correct the misspelling of your name. Once you have corrected it on the account page, it will show up right on Yahoo email. Good Luck.
Reply:The only thing I can think of that you can do is to go into My Account which will be at the top of the page once you have logged on; go to edit personal info. Where it says your name click on edit and it then type it in correctly. Then, there might be a code that you have to type which will be on the confirmation page type that and click save and your name problem should be solved

Especially when someone has put a nickname for you,,,,so when she gets an email from you - then she reads your nickname which he has chosen
