What happens to People Who Steal Other People's Email Accounts or What Should Happen To Them?

What happens - Nothing

What should happen - Nothing

What happens to People Who Steal Other People's Email Accounts or What Should Happen To Them?
That may depend on whose email account you steal.

In some cases there will be law enforcement involved, but only if the damages are like $5,000 or more. In other cases you could expect to receive a summons to court for a civil damages lawsuit.

But if you really grab the brass ring, you will discover how insecure Vista is, and your payroll department will be told you are dead, and your utilities will be cut off for 11 years of delinquent payments. Then after that warmup the fellow whose email account you took will get really mean, and you will never figure out what happened to your computer, or why the police want to talk to you about money-laundering, or why you cannot use any of your credit cards.

And the problem is, you never know. An innocent, sweet victim might have a friend...
Reply:Pretty much nothing happens - the person whose account hacked has to close the account.

II think it should be a corrective action series:

1. First time offence: Grounded for a week

2. Second time offence - Grounded for one month and monetary penalty

3. Third Time offence - send to a mental hospital permanently
