Probably not a wonderful idea!, go ahead and type the e-mail, but send it to yourself. Then in the morning, if you decide you really want to get a failing grade, go ahead and mail it then, after you have corrected the spelling and punctuation.
A person can think whatever they want to, but once you have written it down and mailed it, it then becomes evidence.....just have another beer/ale and go to bed.
See how you feel about it all in the morning..(lol)...sleep tight...thank you

Upon questioning, she didn't even know the names of the main intersections or the names of any opf the Seattle newspapers. Save your $$$! Crooks will always be with us.

I get hundreds if not thousands of emails addressed to other peoples names, I have looked at the full headers and no where in it do I see my email address?

no you cant change your id, you can delete it or add an alternate. yahoo preium service offers disposable handle names. Also if you go into you messenger manager in your preferences you should she a option where you can indicate what you want everyone to see...similiar like how u choose your Answers ID and avaiter.

It has nothing to do with Mexico. The internet is not a direct link to the other computer, it is available to anyone who can access it. If he can access the internet in Mexico and get to his e-mail account there should be no problem at all.

bcc is the perfect iption for you I'm not sure why you don't want to use it, put all the email addresses in the bcc line and none of them will see any other address, then in the normal send to line put your own email address and that is the only addy they will all see.

My last two way conversation was with a chick who was supposed to be in banking in Seattle Washington. Upon questioning, she didn't even know the names of the main intersections or the names of any opf the Seattle newspapers. Save your $$$! Crooks will always be with us.

If you're under a certain age, I think the e-mail thing is mandatory for your own protection. If you're over 16, check Account settings for a box to uncheck "Require e-mail address for friend request" or something like that.

How do you politely tell people that the information in a forwarded email is wrong?
My aunt just sent me a forward of 9 safety tips for women that upon a quick search on Snopes.com, are complete and total crap. This forward contains complete lies and poor advice for dangerous situations. I really want to email my aunt and everyone she forwarded this to and tell them to ALWAYS check something out on Snopes before forwarding it around. Is there a polite way to do this? What should I say?

I pass on the web site (truthorfiction.com is what I use) and then say hey I checked this out on this web site and this is what I found. Then paste results into the body of the email and send it off.

Reply:First, I will burst your bubble: it will not work. I have tried and tried and tried to get it through my relatives' heads that a) forwarding is BAD and b) if you MUST forward, please please please check things out before forwarding them and c) FOR THE LOVE OF GOD USE BCC NOT CC.

Second, what you said is pretty much what your letter should say, minus the "total crap" comment. Point out that you are concerned that following the tips in this forward could lead to injury or worse for someone someday, and that's why you're taking the time. Link to the Snopes bit as well. Explain what Snopes is and provide examples of what they do. Explain that it's a good resource for helping to keep misinformation from spreading that can do real and lasting harm, both to people and their computers (because we've all seen the forwards that say "SUCH AND SUCH FILE IS A VIRUS DELETE IT NOW" that are actually extremely important system files, yes? And those can cost money to get fixed!).
And then create a separate address for 'real' mail and an address to hand out to relatives and friends who just won't stop sending forwards, becase sadly, it's a highly aggressive disease that most people just don't seem to want to let go of. :(

Tell her it is one of your favorite sites ( it is a really cool site) and that you learned about it after forwarding and urban legend or hoax to a friend.

Reply:I have a pretty long standard mail that tells people that almost all forwards are hoaxes, that it's quite understandable that they have fallen for it since many, many people do and that's exactly why these things keep going around, but to still please bookmark snopes.com (actually I prefer the about.com urban legends site, but same deal) and ALWAYS check before forwarding something, no matter who sent it to them. I then include a list of common forwards and why they don't work; fake virus warnings, signature lists, products warnings, etc, etc.
I don't think it's rude to inform someone of the truth about forwards. As I said, I make it clear they definitely aren't alone in falling for these things, that should help them not to take it personally :) And I do try to provide a lot of info, since I copy %26amp; paste this standard mail (well, almost standard, I address their particular forward with a direct link to the debunking website first) it's not that much work. Most people don't feel insulted when I sent it to them, in all my years online I can remember only one person flaming me for being rude but quite a few thanked me for explaining it to them so clearly and even asked if they could copy my mail to send it to the folks who mailed them the forwards.

Like adding all your employees to a group e-mail list and just entering the "Groups name" and it will be sent to everyone in that group instead of adding all 36 e-mail addresses???? That way I wont be giving someones e-mail address to someone who doesnt want someone else to have it.

Put a check by each name you want in this category.
Then click the "add to category" tab (at the top) and in the drop down, click "new category".
A name box appears where you need to type in a name for the category--(keep it simple, like work or employees)------and then click "OK". The name of the category appears on the side panel menu of your address book.
OK---your list is made----now all you have to do is enter the name on the address line and Yahoo sends it everyone on that list.
To keep all those addresses hidden----put the category name on the BCC line (blind copy) and your own address on the TO line.

I use to do this a while back. I was going to start using Outlook again for my snet.net (a Yahoo account) but now it looks like you have to have Premium or Plus Yahoo to use it.

If the internal mail system is used, meaning a user clicks on the mail link provided in a profile, you have no way of knowing where the mail is sent from because Yahoo doesn't reveal your actual mail address nor the sender's address when forwarding the mail to you.
