Can I stop Grouply from using my email to send to other people?

I enrolled in Groupie, because it came from a trusted friend. But grouply has fished my email and is using a mailer dameon to email everyone in my yahoo groups and people I know. Is there any way to shut off this ability they have to send from my email? I don't want it and didn't knowing give permission for it. Thanks, Kim and Randy

Kim,

Kudos to you for speaking up. Grouply is violating the Yahoo TOS and TOU, and if Yahoo alleges that it has resolved the issue, this is not true, because untruthful and misleading emails are still being sent inviting yahoo's users to join this wretched spammer.

I think you have to cancel your yahoo email account(s) and set up new ones, Kim and Randy.
Reply:What if you just change your Yahoo password?

Is not Grouply then locked out? Report Abuse

Reply:Same thing happened to me. GROUPLY IS THE SITE FROM HELL! If one member of a Yahoo group joins Grouply, all members get spammed with an "invitation" to join. Complaints to Grouply result in a disingenuous response that technically they aren't spamming.
