Small Business collaboration. A web based system that lets employees check out emails (work on emails) from a general email account (support, or information email address for the company), but letting all other employees know that that person is working on it.

There are other vendors you can compare with, but wikis, as a tactic, are the way to go.
Reply:The only way I think you can do this is to set up a server at one location and have that networked on the Internet. Then use Microsoft outlook to track emails. Outlook lets you see when, who, and what was responded to. Moreover, depending on your functionality, I would use Word as the main document were you can track changes then send them to other users. After you are finish editing, you can send the .doc in two clicks.

Can be done, sure, but at the receiving end, if they are using 'text only' for their emails then any images you had embedded in the email will become attachements as far as I know.





I just usually attach things, works just fine and everyone gets the same thing provided they have a viewer for whatever format you plonk for. For instance, if you make it in MS Word and I don't have that then I can't see your flyer.





A faily standard way of doing this is to create a PDF document as the PDF viewer is free to download. There are free PDF creators too - but you might find some features will only be available in a paid version of the free PDF creator.

Do you hate pretentious people who throw quotes around in their email signatures and Facebook pages?

I'm not talking about funny quotes from people they know, I'm talking about pretentious quotes from authors and academics. AAAARRRGH, I used to remember so many people who put them in their email signatures in college! IT'S ANNOYING! I form a bad opinion of anyone who throws them around, either in person or on their web pages, blogs or Facebook! I sometimes read them and usually find them very obvious, snide or baffling.





Please people, don't do that ****.

Reply:pithy quotes sometimes make me yawn, as well. then recently, proposition 8 (taking away the civil rights of homosexuals to be married in California) passed. my heart was devastated. so many families ripped apart. thousands and thousands of children growing up with the message "your parents are second class citizens, therefore YOU are a second class citizen, as well." so, now i have a quote pasted to the bottom of my emails: “All men are created equal: that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights: that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness;” - Declaration of Independence. ----well, after losing 10 pounds and crying for days about the entire debacle, i feel as though i've earned the quote. it is important for me that all who i dialogue with, know that i stand on the side of love, on the side of civil rights, on the side of my fellow man. with my heart i feel these things ever so strongly. so, the quote appears on my emails automatically. and no, i do not feel in the least bit holier-than-thou by putting placing it there. i am standing up for my fellow man the best i know how. actually, on this earth, at any given time, we are all probably doing the best we can with what we've got. please forgive your contacts if you disapprove of their message. after all, are we all not seeking just a little grace? i hope my friends and contacts will give me grace. my very best regards to you. perhaps you won't have to be brought to your knees like myself, before you can let it go. good luck!

I sent an email to someone who asked a question, and i believe it said that the email was sent, but when i wne t ot my sent box i realized it was not in there. Is there a seperate placee on Answers that you look for this stuff??

I'm assuming you sent the email by going onto their profile and clicking "Email X" (X represents whatever their name on here is). Doing this is fine, it works, but there is no proof of the email you've sent. It sends through Y!A and as such will not appear in your ordinary inbox and there is no Y!A inbox. This irritates me as I sometimes like to re-read an email I've sent somebody but can't if I've had to send it through Y!A.

yup, it's preety easy, there's facebook, twitter and a ton of other sites. the symbol is below the video. click on it and it'll tell you what to do. or paste the web address as a link in ur email body.

Reply:Sounds like a trojan or worm infection. Simply changing your password now will be no help since the infection has already embedded itself within your system. Anything you may find in regular mode will most likely be a shell or delivery program. What you remove will be the casing used to deliver the virus.





Go into safe mode without networking and using a good anti-virus and spyware program (preferably seperate) scan your system completely and see what you find. AVG, Norton, Pandasoft are usually good for this but it will be slow and tedious so be patient.


Anit Spyware use Ada Aware, Spybot Search %26amp; Destroy, and or SuperAntiSpyware.





With this you should be able to locate and or remove the infection or at least quarantine it so it will no longer prey on your system.


When finished clean up your hard drive and registry and then do a Disk Defrag. This often times will be enough to disrupt some of the functions of an infection.





If afterwards your still having problems you may need to do a deep re-format of your hard drive using DBan and then re-install your whole OS (Operating System).





This is not a one day operation t remove these bugs so make sure you've go time to do this and spread it out over a couple days to insure a proper install and removal.





Be careful of what you download and by all means DO NOT open any e-mail attachments. Not only are they a waste of time but they clog up your hard drive with unnecessary crap and allow infections form sources you don't know. There's no way to tell who or where the infection was implemented from beforehand without a careful investigation.





Arm yourself with the latest AV and Anti Spyware programs and be sure to use a decent firewall always.

Reply:what email are you using? if its a web based email then I would definately change the password. Also if its a computer based email, like outlook, scan with an antivirus. http://housecall.trendmicro.com is a good free one that removes trojans very well. Anyways, good luck!

Reply:No, it does not. The problem here is that you may not be the one sending the e-mails out. It could be anyone that has received e-mail from you that could be sending the spam. An e-mail header can be forged as it is just a text pre-amble from your e-mail client to the e-mail server. If one was a particular devious spam writer, one would supply someone elses e-mail address in the spam from box so that the spam writer would not be traced backed...
Reply:Most likely, you have a virus, trojan or some other infection. Your password information is likely to be transmitted to whomever is controlling the malicious program.





I would suggest running an online virus checker. Trend micro (www.trendmicro.com) has a free checker called "House Call." It would be a good place to start.
